Are Psychics Real Part 3

There are spiritual geniuses. In the same way in which there are mathematical and musical geniuses; spiritual geniuses show an ability early in life. They are born in every class and country from India to Asia to the Americas. In India, Buddha was born a wealthy prince before he renounced his inheritance and began his spiritual journey. In “Autobiography of a Yogi”, Paramahansa Yogananda wrote that his family had both the money and inclination to study with a spiritual yogi. In France, the nun Therese Neuman, experienced the stigmata on her hands, feet, and forehead. These were the wounds of Jesus when crucified. The Lady of Lourdes appeared to three young children and showed them where to dig for water.

Now let’s turn to psychics.

Psychics and psychic phenomena surged after World War I. Parents and wives of the fallen were left without information as to what happened to the boys and men who marched off to fight in the trenches. The number of men who died between the start of the war in August 1914 and Christmas Eve of that same year was both unexpected and staggering. One million soldiers were either dead or missing. The question grew to where did the missing men go? Missing meant there was no body and authorities could hide the death toll or claim that the soldier went AWOL. But the parents and wives couldn’t imagine such a slur to the reputation of their loved ones. The boon of psychics connecting the lost to the ones left behind had begun.

A psychic's primary duty is to give impressions of the client’s past and future events. This is the key: without prompting from the client. Sometimes these impressions help the client make decisions, or release past issues and wounds. There is one thing psychics do: they speak to the dead to bring relief to the ones left.

From this beginning, many of the upper class of Britain hired and held seances, and birthed a cottage industry. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle used a psychic to contact his son Kingsley who died after the Battle of the Somme. Sir Oliver Lodge a physicist wrote ‘Raymond, Or Life and Death”. It is about his son Raymond who died while fighting on the front lines. In it, he has letters and photographs documented from his son. It’s a fascinating story. Here

So, I am with Deepak Chopra who had said that there are spiritual geniuses. Many of them, like Marvel superheroes, had a significant event during adolesce that shocked their system and shaped their personality. The edges of reality have been blurred and they live on a different path. If we are lucky as a society, these wonders find true guidance from a guru or teacher of high integrity. I think we know what happens when they don’t.

Thanks for following this journey.
