I was told 'Grow a Pair'
The other day, in a fit of frustration, I thought, "Well, I should just give up, obviously, it's the intelligent thing to do." My mind went on to tell me that better, smarter, more talented people than I had stopped, who did I think I was to keep going.
And then I remembered a passionate man telling me it takes steel cajones to become an adult. Most people don't have the courage.
I finally understand what that man was trying to impart to me. I thought he was trying to get me to do something, but I see he was really telling me to remain true to myself. To become a fully realized human being.
As I continue writing my books and getting the obligatory no thanks from agents, growing a steel pair is more important than ever. I can't help but to think, it appears to be the challenge for all of us during this difficult time we are in.
