Employee of the Month
I saw this post on Facebook courtesy of my friend who also works from home. She is an artist and paints pet portraits. I am a writer; unpublished as of this date. I have completed two books. I am in the process of submitting and getting rejection letters.
All this talk is to say, I work at home and have two Boxers. I am wrestling with who do I name employee of the month for January 2019? I mean, come on, this will set up a precedent. Who goes first is a big deal in my household.
Who gets the leash on first, who goes out the door first, who gets to nestle up against mom's lap first.
Let me explain, Kima and Whiskey are litter mates. It was not supposed to work. I received emails with links about the dangers of litter mates from a dog trainer. I witnessed one of my friends struggle with two female litter mates. I am lucky, they get along brilliantly, but still have a touch of sibling rivalry. So, you can see my concern.
If you are reading this and laughing at me that how could the dogs know if they are employee of the month, oh nay-nay my friend: they know. They know just about everything that concerns them. Dinner time, walk time, treat time, snuggle/meditation time. They know by seeing the energy around me. I swear they see auras.
I will keep you posted. I suspect Kima will win January. (She's the one with the white on her face.) However, Whiskey might pull ahead in a late surge of good guyness.
